Feet is at school working on an art project on a computer. While working, Feet’s teacher starts talking because he wants to remind students that when they are done, they should print it out and place it in their folder.

Lesson 9:Follow the Digital Trail (K-2)
What information is OK to have in your digital footprint?

Students will be able to …
• learn that the information they put online leaves a digital footprint or “trail.”
• explore what information is appropriate to be put online.
• judge the nature of different types of digital footprints by following the information trails of two fictional animals.

• What is a “digital footprint”? Have you ever heard of digital footprints before?
• When you leave footprints from your shoes on a oor, you can clean them up. Can you erase digital footprints too?

demonstrate an appreciation of how real people send messages to one another on the Internet through a role-playing activity.The class was broken into 3 groups: sender, receiver and email
1. They each wrote their word on a card
2. Then we talked about what an email was,what a sender was and what a receiver is
3. Then I told them pretend the internet is the carpet and I asked for 3 volunteers 1 from each group 1 sender 1 receiver and email. I write a message on a paper hello and give it to the sender on one side of the carpet then I have email who is in the internet electricity brings the messages from the sender to the receiver. We will play until everyone gets a turn
Lesson 6: My Creative Work (K-2) Digital Citizenship Unit
How can you give credit to your own creative work?

define the Key Vocabulary term credit.list some reasons why credit is important for an artist.
give themselves proper credit on their own work.
Practice
As a class we will create a story then decide as a class who gets credit, then students will draw a picture about our story and we will discuss who gets credit for their pictures and how I would give each student credit if I published the story and pictures on my website.
